Crown Thunder

Name: Lord Mathias "Hunter" de Caméléon
FM-ian: Crown
Age: Around 25
Online Alias: Hunter_Chameleon, ComieMerc

Abilities

Volt Blast: Crown opens his armored cape up and points his arm out. He then laughs as he unleashes a large, painful blast of thunder energy, proving to be a SHOCKER to the one receiving this attack.

Summon: Crown opens his armored cape and opens both his hands, which allows ghostly spirits to appear and ram into the enemy with their dark auras. They can also possess people or materials, letting Crown act as a puppet master, proving this attack to be a very scary surprise for the opponent.
The spirit themselves are generally equipped with a spear, a hammer, and a bow and arrows, though their arsenal is extended from times to times.

Thunder Storm: Crown laughs as he jumps around, his cape opening up and his arms summoning clouds into the area, and shoot big lightning bolts. Sometimes the volt blasts can damage the opponent(s) very easily, because of their speed and random pattern. Crown calls this his "Last Ace Move" as it’s the most useful in hard fights. However, sometimes Crown himself gets shocked - much to his dismay.

Shock Blades: Hunter literally takes a handful of lightning and uses it as a rapier. When using it in conjonction with his cloak and a Shock Dagger, he can use the "Arts of the Duettist", which is just fighting with cloak, dagger and rapier.

Heads Fall Off: Crown Thunder's body and head can separate, and operate on their own for a while. There's nothing scarier than being blasted by an enemy you just decapitated.

Gimme!: Crown has a nasty habit of stealing his opponent's chips. Don't stay too close to him in a fight...

Quite The Shocker: As a side-effect, every of Crown's attack has a high chance of paralyzing his foe. Thus is the skill of the Thunder Masters...

Appearance

Hunter has rather wild, brown hair (not that long, though), and wears opaque glasses.
Usually, Hunter wears a very Harlock-like suit (up to the weapons), with certain modifications on the colors :

  • All black is replaced by green
  • The left arm is wholly red
  • The cape is mostly red as well

The collar is put high, in order to hide most of the face.
People more or less assume Hunter is cosplaying, or preparing himself for some Live-Action RP, so they don't mind his clothes and weapons.

However, when having to go in a situation where his suit might be damaged, Hunter wears a blue, yellow-stripped jumpsuit pretty much like the average Vault Dweller.

Biography

For all his life, Hunter wished to be an explorer. Not that his family agreed with it - a Caméléon, in the wilderness ? You must be kidding !

So, after a certain time getting along with this, Hunter cut bridges with his family, and went to explore. Sadly, the whole world had been mapped again and again, leaving nothing to discover for the noble.

Alone, disowned by his family, Hunter was left to wander. One day, he met what seemed to be a ghost, who talked to him of exploring the upper sea : space...

It's since this day that Hunter joined Cosmos, seeing the existence of Earth as a throwback for his dreams of exploration.

... *blinks*

Whenever Hunter is bored, or forced to perform a repetitive task, he will "doze off", and daydream. It takes several efforts to drag him out of this state.

If this occurs when Hunter is merged, Crown will take over the body - with disastrous results.
This distachement does have a good side, though : if dealing with anything scary/dangerous, Hunter will say : "Yeah. So ?" and carry on as if it was a mere nuisance.

Why do you think I have such an horrible accent ?

Hunter is a French noble, and this shows in his speech and acts. He will take a particular delight at insulting you in French, especially if the words used are damn obscure.

His education resurfaces in his relationship with the rest of the world : anyone that isn't blue-blood, or a representative of the law/authority, will be called "Peon" or "Peasant", and treated with expected results. However, gain his respect and you'll have a life-long ally.

Hunter was also taught to respect persons of the opposite gender, and will act courteous to them, no matter their social rank - and being generally nicer to Elec than Joel, for instance. This regularly proves to be a clash with Crown's dirty behaviour.

Hunter also has a great respect for hierarchy. He'll never discuss any order from the Cosmos leaders, and will follow them while muttering something about "serving the Royalty".

It's a family business

Nothing is much known about the origin of the Caméléons. It's more or less rumored he was a complete stranger, and founded his family in France eons ago.

Hunter inherited from his long-time ancestor a certain affinity with guns, swords, and a set of antique, yet functionnal weapons. As a personal duty, he spends a long time cleaning them and training with them. Disturb him during that time, and you'll be the target of the day - though he doesn't aim to hurt his teammates.

Captains are the masters of their ships

Crown came to Hunter for two reasons : his noble status appealed to him, and he seemed like the kind of person he'd have endless fun bothering. Their interests are rather opposed (mainly on the matter of licensious books and relationships with people of the opposite gender), and they often end up shouting at each other on what to do.

When merged, Hunter imposes his will on Crown, who doesn't get a word in the actions. The situation is reversed when Hunter falls in "lethargy".
