Welcome... to a new era for space!

Bob: Oh… hi… my name is Bob, and I have recently stumbled upon your website. Would you mind telling me what all this is about?

Avi: Why hello there, Bob. I am Avi, your ever-lovable webmistress. Our site is home to the one and only Megaman Star Force team, COSMOS!

Bob: A Megaman Star Force team… wha?

Avi: Megaman Teams are a trend started by the Sinister Six over there. Generally speaking, a Megaman Team is a group of people, each of whom roleplays as a specific boss character from any game in the Megaman series. Megaman Star Force, of course, is our given game.

Bob: Roleplaying, hm?

Avi: Yeah. Usually, each member of the team creates a character that, in some way or another, represents themselves, or at least a comically twisted exaggeration thereof. In our specific case, said characters are then merged with the FM-ian aliens who appear in the game, thus creating our own unique takes on the Star Force boss characters. I myself portray the boss character Gemini Spark in the epilogues.

Bob: Epilogues? Aren’t those, like, the ending segments of books or something?

Avi: In the Megaman Team sense, they are generally script-based adventures that tell a story, starring the characters that represent our members… sort of like what you are reading right now. They tend to focus cheifly on comedic situations, maybe with a little bit of action, and perhaps some general weirdness thrown in for good measure. No matter what, we aim to entertain. Epilogues are the heart of every Megaman team!

Bob: Ahh, I’m starting to understand. But seriously, why are they called "epilogues?"

Avi: The original idea behind them is that they take place after the game in which the team represents, chronicling the events involving the bosses after they have been defeated by Megaman. Hence the name. The Cosmos saga begins at the very end of Megaman Star Force. After the FM-ian king’s defeat, the FM-ians decided that they wanted to continue trying to destroy the world, but in their own way. But, of course, things can only get crazier from there. Not every epilogue is tied directly to the game, however… so don’t be too surprised if you see characters from other, completely unrelated franchises invading our epilogues!

Bob: Whoa whoa whoa whoa, back up. What’s all this about destroying the world now?!

Avi: Oh, relax. It’s just a bunch of make-believe roleplaying, basically, stories for your personal amusement and ours. We aren’t actually evil… I think. We may be crazy, but not THAT crazy. But yeah, in our completely fictional epilogues, we play the bad guys. Why? Well, the vast majority of Megaman Teams usually play the good guys, leaving us honest, hard-working villains in short supply. Besides, villains are more fun to write about than heroes, if I must say so myself.

Bob: Phew… that’s a relief. You guys sound like an… um, interesting bunch!

Avi: We try, we try. In order to come off as "interesting," we try to take the extra effort to flesh out our dysfunctional cast of characters as much as we possibly can in order to further immerse the readers into our messed-up little world. And in order to make character management easier on everyone, we have divided our roster up into two groups: Red Shift and Blue Shift.

Bob: So… you are actually two teams sharing one website?

Avi: Not quite. We are still one team, only with our characters divided up due to strategic, story-related purposes. With our team consisting of eight people, each joined up by an FM-ian partner, we have a LOT of characters to work with. With too many characters to develop, a story would end up overly convoluted and all that. But of course, both Red Shift and Blue Shift can still take part in the same epilogue from time to time, within reason.

Bob: I see. So what else does a Megaman Team’s site offer?

Avi: With time, in addition to epilogues, a team can offer just about anything and everything! Usually, a team’s content relates to the game it represents in one way or another, but sometimes it is completely irrelevant, being stashed on the site when it has no place else to call home. We are hoping that our members will turn out with various things for the site in the near future!

Bob: Until then, I think I should check out your epilogues.

Avi: Yes, you should. Or else… mwhehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe…

Bob: …what was that?

Avi: Roleplaying! Just simple roleplaying, all in good fun, la la la la la~

Bob: Um… right. I’ll give ‘em a read then, ma’am! (Weirdo.)

Avi: Hope you enjoy!   Right, everyone?  Say "hi!"
